SFB INF Guidelines & FAQ
Research is usually not a solitary endeavour. When many people within or across research projects collaborate, standardized systems and guidelines for good research practices are key. Put simply: If many people work together, it is easier when all those people use the same underlying principles, e.g. where they put their files, how they recruit participants for their experiments, or what metadata to collect.
Today’s resource is the guideline collection of CRC 1646’s INF project, a collection of CC BY-licenced guidelines on research data management, project management, experimental research, and data processing and analysis. Their goal is to provide the researchers of the CRC 1646 with a basis on which to decide e.g. what file naming schema to use, how to properly document their data annotation, or how to manage version control and regular backups.
